After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California at Berkley in 1994, Dr. Schick went on to work with some of the leading veterinary dermatologists in the country at Cornell University. By 2003, Dr. Schick had received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell and completed a one-year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a private referral practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Dr. Schick has been published in the international journal, Veterinary Dermatology, for her extensive review of the microbiologic diagnosis of canine otitis. While she has a special interest in allergies and ear disease, Dr. Schick enjoys all aspects of veterinary dermatology and has presented animal dermatology lectures to veterinarians around the west. Dr. Schick and her husband recently welcomed a new baby girl into their family, which already includes a very allergic Chihuahua, a three-legged cat and three other "normal" pets.
